Hi lads! I'm Luis Fando, spanish journalist focused on the football culture. I'm working on a book about Real Zaragoza history and one of the chapters will be about that legendary semifinals where Real Zaragoza played against West Ham. Could you please help me with this? Is there anyone who were in Upton Park or Zaragoza in this leg on 1965? I'll need testimonies, newspapers or opinions about those two matches! Thanks for your attention! COYI

I was at the home game with a couple of mates and in the North Bank down the front on the Chicken Run side (our normal place in them days) I was only 12 at the time and still have the programme for it.
I recall more about the game against Laussane Sports though as during one of the crowd surges my mate nearly got crushed against the wall and had t get the St John's Ambulance guys to help him as he was having trouble breathing

Bill, I'm the same age as you and I went to this one, and all the home games in the ECWC, but just like you I don't remember much about it. I've got stronger memories of La Gantoise and Sparta Prague.
But I do remember listeneing to the away leg on a japanese transistor radio. Now that was tense.

I was at the home game aged 10 and also went to the final.
Dont remember too much of the game except we went 2-0 up and it ended 2-1.
Their forward line was known as the famous five I think and one newspaper said West Ham had outcontinentalled the continentals which sounded at a bit odd.
I was on holiday in Bournemouth with my family when someone said we'd drawn 1-1 in the second leg.
I was very excited as I knew the final was at Wembley but didnt know at the time I was going
